Roads represent about 80% of the Group’s business
The Roads business has two branches :
Colas builds and maintains roads, highways, runways and airport parking areas, ports, industrial and logistics hubs, urban roads and developments, public transport tracks and reserved lanes for buses, trams and metros), cycle lanes, motor racing circuits, sport and recreational facilities, etc.
Upstream of constriction and maintenance work, Colas owns major industrial facilities for the production and recycling of construction materials primarily used in road building (aggregate, emulsions, binders and asphalt mixes, ready-mixed concrete).

The Group’s estimated worldwide aggregate reserves are estimated at 2.7 billion metric tons.
Colas operates in the fields of production, storage, transformation and distribution of bitumen notably in Asia, but is currently spotlighting new gateways to other regions. In France, SRD (Société de la Raffinerie de Dunkerque), which produces 300,000 tons of bitumen each year, was acquired by the Colas Group in June 2010.
